Holy giant file size Batman!

For the love of crap....if you're going to use a stop-motion animation made up of big-ass image files, at LEAST compress & edit your audio! That movie was way way larger than it needed to be. Next time, use that crappy sound edit program to cut the end off your audio file so you don't have to include the whole song for a 20 second animation. And check out the audio portal's tips on compressing audio for flash artists. The actual content wasn't all that bad, but the huge file size killed it for me. Your stop-motion is tight...I'd try for something a bit funnier next time.

Best. Idea. Ever.

Whoever came up with this gets eternal 5-ulation from the gods of NG. Fantastic idea. All of those were better than 80% of the crap that shows up in the portal daily. It's heartening to see someone out there can still make a decent flash in not a lot of time. My personal fave was....um....the first one with the blob and worm and shoe....so odd and abstract. That killer CG robot was pretty damn sweet, but it didn't really fit the criteria as well as the rest...and that CG modeling definitely took some time. I wanna see some more of that shit though...make a feature-length flash. People will worship you. Awesome Idea, cant' wait to see more of these in the future.

you win the portal

Totally rocked. That was one of the funniest and oddest things I've ever seen on NG. Way to use crappy clip art and minimal graphics to create something totally hilarious. The uploading and downloading segments were fantastic, and that sound loop was great. I must find out who that is....need to make a remix. My only issue was the loop didn't quite match up perfectly so there was a bit of a gap where it started over. Somehow that almost helped the wacky feel of the whole piece though. Awesome work...you're in my favorites.

use != abuse

"See, I think drugs have done some good things for us, I really do. And if you don't believe drugs have done good things for us do me a favor; go home tonight and take all your albums, all your tapes, and all your CDs and burn 'em. 'Cause you know what, the musicians who made all that great music that's enhanced your lives throughout the years? REAL fuckin' high on drugs."
"It's not a war on drugs, it's a war on personal freedom is what it is, OK? Keep that in mind at all times, thank you."

Awesome lip-synching

Drawings were very basic, but not crappy at all. Your animation is fantastic, what with the cuts between scenes and the blur on panning...you made your characters move like real people. Once you get your drawing skills down to a science, you're going to have some frontpage-worthy flashes.

Not bad...

But too slow. you could have had that entire thing in about 1/2 to 1/4 of the time. Nor bad, but it just dragged.

Hmmmmmmmmm well i think it looks better when its slow.... it sorta the goes with the theme...... ya

Not bad considering

Flash really isn't designed for video, which was the biggest drawback to your movie. It's just choppy. Nothing you can really help though. The timing and scene choice wasn't bad, and Brolly is the kick-assest sayajin, so that gets some points. Unfortunately there's an absolutely spectacular Brolly video set to Prodigy's "Firestarter" (which you've no doubt seen) and I was kind of measuring against that. Still not bad at all. All the DBZ fans will definitely like it.

Heh...nice

Not bad at all...decent sound, damn good frame by frame animation...relatively humorous. Reminds me of Matt Groening's style (simpsons, futurama etc.). Not bad at all. Hope to see more of your stuff in the portal.

Fantastc as usual

Superbly done. The laser parrot and dual hook hands were great. Nice change of scenery for a..er...change. There was something about the various bullets and bombs blowing chunks out of the ships deck combined with your character design that reminded me of the game Worms....which got me thinking.

Make a game! You've certainly got the animation skills, and I'm sure someone would be willing to lend an artist/animator such as yourself some coding expertise. *coughTomcough* I think a worms style game would be awesome, with distance weapons, but also more mobility and the ability to duel it out with your enemy in classic poninja style. It would probably have to be 2 player to be much fun (and to avoid an insurmountable amount of code). I'm not sure how that would do on NG though, as not too many people browse the forum with a friend. Anywho just a suggestion albeit a lengthy one. Keep up the awesome work. Looking forward to episode 7.

Not bad at all....needs a touch more work though

Heh...subtle humor. I like it. Bonus points for using the songs you did. The classical piece escapes me at the moment, but it's one of my favorites, and you can't argue with Living Dead Girl. Very well illustrated and executed...and it loaded very well for including 3 songs of good quality. Good work. Now for the refinements I'd suggest.

1) You already have a play button from the loader...the second one after the title screen is just redundant. Once the title's been there long enough to read, just have the movie start.

2) The text at the end about music never being only skin deep is a bit unnecessary. I thought the point was well made and very funny by itself...the text actually took away from it by over-explaining the obvious.

3) The first part of the end text starts moving up offscreen before the other text arrives, and then jumps back into place. This little glitch makes an otherwise gorgeous movie seem a bit sloppy.

4) The movie doesn't stop @ the replay button...it just kind of hangs around for a second and then goes back to the original start button. That's fine if that's what you intend, but the fact a replay button appeared for a second or 2 made it obvious that you didn't intend it to automatically loop, so it came off looking a bit sloppy.

Don't take my criticism to harshly, these were all minor technical issues with an otherwise brilliant piece. I look forward to seeing more of your work in the portal. You've got good drawing skills and a sense of humor I like. Keep up the good work.
