Damn good.

Heh. What a funny and original point. Those poor poor sprites, all blocky and pixelated in this land of vectored smoothness. =(

I only have 2 suggestions. If you do indeed make a movie in this style again, change the text bubbles to a more cartoony style...white, or another solid color with a same-colored tail/arrow thing. The gradient bubbles clashed both with the text and the style of the rest of the animation. Also, see if you can't put just a touch more work into your editing. Mario's sprite had a rather hefty white outline around it in places, which should be easy to get rid of if you zoom in, since he has all square edges. When the new character walks on screen, the stretchy effect you used to show him walking across the background looked really odd, and not all that good. If you can't get a wider swatch of background to scroll under your moving characters, you can always copy and mirror the background you have and then paste it next to it's mirror. The edges will line up perfectly, and while it may look a little weird, it will look better to scroll that than stretch a too-small background oddly.

Your choice of music was fantastic, especially the techo you used on your production splash screen. I got that song off of mp3.com back in freshman year of college, and it still kicks ass. All around it's a really good movie, and it's going into my favorites. I look forward to seeing some more of your work.

Thanks man. Its the viewers like you that take the time that you just did to help me out in that review, that I make my animations for. I really appreciate the tips you gave me, and the positive feedback you had on my movie. Thanks again!

Geez...the Soviet take on socialism failed

Now I'm all for socialism, but the Soviet form of it was totally corrupt and handled terribly. I agree that a government that truly represents the masses is where we need to go, but I think the old USSR is a horrible example to choose.

As far as the actual Flash content goes...you need to animate more. Those soldiers could have at least swung their arms or something. Your text scrolls WAY too fast. I'm a relatively to very fast reader, and I had to pause it in spots to see what you were trying to say....especially in that second big block of text. The fact that second block was such a small font didn't help either. Also, go to the audio portal and look on the lower right for a link about "audio compression for flash artists." Your long load time was due largely to that huge uncompressed song. It sounded good, yes, but it wasn't worth the load time.

w00t...5s and crap like that.

You win. Tonight is a good night for the portal indeed. This went straight into my favorites, and may be the first Flash on NG in a long time I send round to all my friends via AIM. My only issue is with the 2001 Space Odyssey theme at the beginning...it cuts off too abruptly, you should have it fade out instead. Other than that perfect. G.W. is a corporate puppet regardless of whether you like the US or not, and I certainly laughed at that...especially with the R W & B text. The Manson thing was a nice touch for the whole Cain & Abel thing as well. Somehow I don't think 9/10s of the NG public got that whole "who likes agriculture" thing, but man, it was perfect. Nice to see someone on NG with a wry sense of humor and more knowledge than pseudo TV logic. Keep it up man, I'm looking forward to more. It might be a bit of a stretch, but Noah could be pretty funny...or maybe Moses. Then again you don't want this whole idea to get too played out. Anywho, nice work!

Sweet Merciful Crap!

Not a bad first time submission at all...but I read War & Peace twice while it loaded. Do yourself a favor and go to the Audio Portal and read the "audio optimization instructions" located on the lower left-hand side. Since you figured out the preloader I assume you'll be able to understand and follow that as well. It will cut your load times down to an 1/8 of what they are now, and actually allow people on dialup connections to view your work.

Holy crap....straight to my favorites

Excellent. I don't even want to think about how big the high res file must be =P Anywho, that was fantastic. Excellent job of telling the story through the audio cuts you used, and great job making the cuts sound seamless. My only gripe is the audio getting really loud and soft in places. If you can, see if you can find a freeware audio editing program to equalize it all out beforehand. I'm looking forward to seeing more of these...hope you'll make em. I suggest T2 next!

So so new and different.

That improv thing really works for you. Your characters are funny and unique, and the whole thing is just odd as hell. This is going in my favorites. My suggestions are as follows
1) Go and get yourself a halfway decent microphone - what you've recorded is good, but the quality is awful.
2) Edit out some of the crappier parts of the audio - I dig the way you just make an animation to the improv you do on the fly, but there are some really good funny parts, and some slow lame fumbling parts. If you edit out the really bad stuff first, you'd have a better overall animation.

Overall though..This is great...make more.

Insanity on a stick

Ah yes. A classic. Freaky as all hell and going straight into my favorites. You've got a sense of humor that is unmatched on NG lately. Very different and well thought out. I dig the long odd intro...makes it even more original and weird. Keep em coming, and keep getting better with the drawing and animation.

w00t

Hell...I like the full version better, but this still has the funniest bits. Nice...kicks the ass out of an Awesomecam Christmas. You've got a weird ass sense of humor I dig. Keep em coming...and don't listen to those nay-sayers. Keep in all that eccentric opening crap. It makes em all the more odd and DJcopydog-ish.

Holy crap....straight to my favorites

That was fantastic. So bizarre. So well timed. The music was excellent and the whole thing was just weird weird weird. Excellent silent movie stylings and the little emotions you threw in in text made it. This rules. It had sure as hell better live through the portal or I'm going to be mad pissed off.

So slow

I had to close it after the first one...I almost fell asleep. You need to work on your pacing so things don't take so long. Might be good for a science project, but it's not NG material.

Corporations are rapidly destroying society, using information technology to create a consumerist monoculture.
